After suffering for weeks now with ’smear my windscreen with shite and miss the other half of the windscreen when it’s tipping down’ I purchased a set of Bosch Aerotwin wipers - not just the blades but the whole kaboodle.

The fitting instructions are a joke, two pictures that look like they were drawn by a three year old on the side of the box, one says ‘removal’ the other says ‘fitting’.

Having read horror stories of people breaking them when trying to fit them and others taking a whole day I took the plunge today. 15 minutes later they were working and are the absolute nuts. They look excellent [no frame] and my limited testing went superbly too.

After a long beta testing phase this was released on Sunday night. Try if you think you’re hard enough…. Map 1 is relatively easy to complete once you get the hang of how the game works, the challenge then is to get as high a score as possible.

Map 2 is downright hard, I can only get to the last level but then die

Map 3 you’ll have to join [only 20 dollars for a year to the rabble]but is just pure EVIL.

I’m off to have another go on map 1.

I decided to get myself a 3 Skypephone last week - The website is here

It’s a great bit of kit, the Skype client acts pretty much the same as the windows client and with some tinkering on Saturday it now gives me internet access from my laptop using bluetooth at 3G speeds [getting about 800kb/s if you’re interested!].

Pros - Very easy to set up, just give it your Skype name and password. Easy to add Skype contacts, very good at getting a decent signal and holding on to it. Menus are clearly laid out. It comes with a 256MB card which is plenty for me for the odd pic or MP3.

Cons - The vibrate is really pathetic and the socket which is used for charging and connecting USB to has the flimsiest cover I’ve seen, I’d be surprised if it lasts the month. I really can’t think of anything else at the moment.

Apologies for the lack of an update recently, there has been much upheaval in the life of this OrientFan (TM. pat. pend.).

Orient have fallen off the rails, I’m now living in a very tranquil part of the country and have a new job, which I very much enjoy.

I will post a proper update soon, I just haven’t been bothered recently. I wonder if I’ve hit the part where I wonder who is actually reading this?

Thanks for the email from SuperDave NOT mentioning that we are no longer top of the league, I say we are no longer top of the league.

One word of advice, do not listen to Zero 7 when doing 90 down the A31. There is something bloody wierd about their music which makes my brain turn off. Not good when driving and suddenly realising that you have no recollection of the past 10 miles.

Episode 3 of S2 of Dexter should be available on Torrent sites soon my friends, Is this the nearest equivalent to televisual sex? [apart from those German films I’ve…. errrr….. heard about in the pub]. Apropos nothing, I had to explain to a friend’s wife back last weekend what Bukkake was. Don’t Google it at work! Gonzo MILF v Bukkake, sounds like a 1960’s Japanese monster flick

Flight of the Conchords starts on BBC4 at 9.30pm on Tuesday. Fantastic comedy with brilliant music.

The series has just finished in the States, every episode is great. You can do YouTube searches on them, I’m not posting links as I suspect they’ll be removed soon, only to be reposted.

I spent an enjoyable afternoon with Super Dave in the pub. We lost but seem to be in the same situation as before so that’s good.

Leeds won, again, but due to their lenient sentence [it should have been 50 points] are still only one point off the bottom.

Dave… we are top of the league, I say we are top of the league.

I really would have taken a point from today’s game but we got all three points, leaving us three points clear at the top and, more importantly, six points clear of third place.

A super happy bunny is in residence at OrientFan towers.

How long this is worth looking at is anyone’s guess but it gives me an EXTREMELY warm fuzzy feeling inside, it’s like sex but in league table format!

By the way, I’ve fallen off the no-smoking wagon. My fault. I am an idiot. 1st October is my new date for giving it a go. I can not do this without visible tangible reasons, and this date provides them. Feel free to give me grief about it if you have given up smoking, if you have not been a smoker then I respectfully ask you to keep your thoughts to yourself [read “Shut the fuck up”].
