I am now on holiday in France with Clumpton and Mrs. Clumpton. Well, they’re not actually married, they live in sin. It’s disgusting, a moral outrage, Daily Mail readers of the world unite!

At what point during telling me that it was closed between J6 & 7 clock-wise did BBC travel not think about mentioning that there was a 14 mile tailback on the anti-clockwise section between 10 and 6 and that they had shut one of the Dartford Tunnels? For those of you that aren’t aware it means 16 lanes of traffic have to get into two lanes within 400 metres.

My TomTom quite enjoyed telling me that me ETA was 20:15 [fair enough, a smooth run is three hours], then 21:00, then 21:45 then 22:14, then 22:30.

Apologies for the lack of an update recently, there has been much upheaval in the life of this OrientFan (TM. pat. pend.).

Orient have fallen off the rails, I’m now living in a very tranquil part of the country and have a new job, which I very much enjoy.

I will post a proper update soon, I just haven’t been bothered recently. I wonder if I’ve hit the part where I wonder who is actually reading this?

Thanks for the email from SuperDave NOT mentioning that we are no longer top of the league, I say we are no longer top of the league.

One word of advice, do not listen to Zero 7 when doing 90 down the A31. There is something bloody wierd about their music which makes my brain turn off. Not good when driving and suddenly realising that you have no recollection of the past 10 miles.

Episode 3 of S2 of Dexter should be available on Torrent sites soon my friends, Is this the nearest equivalent to televisual sex? [apart from those German films I’ve…. errrr….. heard about in the pub]. Apropos nothing, I had to explain to a friend’s wife back last weekend what Bukkake was. Don’t Google it at work! As you may know, I’m sometimes “out and about”, this time in the area covered by South West Trains. I happened to be travelling back with them yesterday evening, with a pre-booked, paid for, I had it in my hand [ooo-err missus] ticket.

I got on the train that was earlier [there’s one an hour]. On a one-third full train I was instructed to get off at the next stop, even after other passengers sided with me and called him a ‘jobsworth’ and one even said that he ‘must have been bullied at school’. After confirming with him that it would have been no cheaper for me to use the ticket I had and that I obviously had no intention of evading my fare I was told to either pay £65 for a ‘valid’ ticket or he’d call the Police.

I waited an hour at the next stop, as there is only one an hour, for the next train.

Whoever you are, I’ll just call you twat, I salute you. Oh, and thanks for thinking I would pay a £26 penalty fare.

Getting up at 10am after five hours kip after 13 hours drinking is not a particularly recommended way to start the day, trust me on this. After a superb bacon sarnie - thanks Bryn - we made a trip back to the scene of the previous day/night/morning party to pack up chairs and the pagoda.

I don’t know at what point the pub was suggested but by midday we were drinking again. I made my excuses and left at an unknown time to start the journey home.

By 21:00 I was tucked up in bed. Awwwww.

Well, I suppose we’ll all get there one day. The weather decided to do us a favour, which was a result as the barbecues were pretty integral. I can report a good time was had by all, although I understimated the amount of Guinness I would consume so an impromptu trip to the offy was in order.
